Old Katamon, or just plain Katamon, is a popular location amongst the English speaking community in Jerusalem. Featured in the Israeli TV show "Srugim" there is large modern orthodox community in the area and more shuls than you can throw a stick at. Old Katamon is a mainly residential area, but there are still many shops and restaurants within its borders. Katamon is also close to the First Station entertainment complex, the Jerusalem Theatre and is not far from the City Centre nor the Old City.
